Rea Valley Assistant Fire Chief Arrrested For Arson

Bryan Stubinger

On Monday, October 29, 2012, the Rea Valley Assistant Fire Chief, Bryan Stubinger, age 43, of the rural Flippin area of Marion County, was arrested for Battery in the 1st Degree and Two Counts of Arson, all felonies.  The arrest stems from a call at a residence in Rea Valley, that someone had set fire to his truck then hit him in the head with a hammer, as he ran outside to the fire.  It should be noted there has been previous problems involving the two parties and the residence had a video surveillance system.  As the victim went to the Sheriff’s Department to furnish additional information, a call came in that the house had then caught fire.  Upon reviewing the surveillance video from the residence, Stubinger was seen committing the crimes.  Stubinger’s bond was set at $50,000.00. The matter is still under investigation.
