Flippin Man Arrested on Drug Charges

On 1-24-15 Michael Hill, age 46, of Flippin was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana with Purpose to Deliver, a Class C Felony, Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance, a Class D Felony, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Class D Felony, and Habitual Offender.

The arrest stems from a joint investigation by the Flippin Police Department and Marion County Sheriff's Office. Officers learned that Hill was out of the area picking up a quantity of marijuana on 1-24-15. Officers learned Hill would be returning to the Flippin area on 1-25-15 around 1:00 AM. Officers set up surveillance and located Hill coming back in the area. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle that Hill was traveling in. Officers searched the vehicle and located an amount of marijuana with a street value of approximately $900.00. Officers also located Suboxone strips which is a Schedule III controlled substance. Officers located items of drug paraphernalia related to the sale of marijuana.

Hill was arrested without incident and transported to the Marion County Sheriff's Office. An Investigative Hold was placed on Hill while officers executed a search warrant signed by Judge Duffy to further search the vehicle for concealed compartments. Bond was set for Hill on 1-26-15 at $10,000.00 by Judge Jason Duffy. Hill's vehicle has been seized by law enforcement as a result of the investigation. Hill remains incarcerated at the time of the press release. Hill is on probation with the Department of Community Corrections and may face additional charges related to violation of terms and conditions of probation.
