Three Arrested After Pursuit
On 12-22-15 Joshua Millsaps, age 29, of Harrison and Jessica Madison, age 21, of Jasper were arrested and are currently being held without bond in the Marion County Jail for Investigative Purposes for offenses related to theft and fleeing. The two were arrested at approximately 5:00 PM on 12-22-15. Daniel Hunt, age 32, of Harrison was arrested on the same date at approximately 9:00 PM and is being held in the Marion County Jail for Investigative Purposes for offenses related to theft and fleeing.

The three are jailed after a vehicle driven by Hunt that fled from the Flippin Police Department, Madison and Millsaps were passengers in that vehicle. Flippin Police were notified by a local business that the three were in the business attempting to steal items. Flippin Police arrived to investigate the offense and the three left the business when police arrived. Officers from the Flippin Police Department attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the 2001 Chevrolet truck the three were traveling in on Highway 202 in Flippin. The vehicle fled and a pursuit began. Officers from the Marion County Sheriff's Office and Arkansas State Police joined the pursuit. The pursuit continued across Highway 202 into Summit, Arkansas then onto Highway 62/412 and headed west toward Boone County. The Boone County Sheriff's Office was notified of the pursuit and staged near the county line to assist. The pursuit turned onto Marion County Road 3025 and then onto Marion County Road 3024 then onto West Bradford Street in Pyatt. The pursuit continued onto Marion County Road 3022 then onto Marion County Road 3016 near the Boone and Marion County line. The driver drove through a fence and drove approximately one mile onto private property off of Marion County Road 3016 attempted to avoid law enforcement. Officers involved in the pursuit were able to use a skid path on the gravel and dirt to locate the vehicle in the woods on the private property. The three fled on foot from the vehicle, officers from the Flippin Police Department, Marion County Sheriff's Office, Arkansas Game and Fish, and Boone County Sheriff's Office set up a staging area to organize a search for the three. Millsaps walked to the staging area on foot and turned himself in. Madison knocked on a residents door in the area and asked for help. The home owner was aware of the pursuit and escorted Madison to the staging area where she was arrested without incident.  These two arrests happened shortly after the incident. While processing the vehicle officers from each Department learned that it had been stolen from a car dealership in Harrison, Arkansas on 12-21-15. Officers also learned that the license plate on the vehicle had been stolen from Boone County and located credit and debit cards that are suspected to be stolen in the vehicle.

Officers from each agency continued looking for Hunt. At approximately 9:00 PM Hunt was taken into custody at a residence in the Zinc area of Boone County. The Boone County Sheriff's Office received a tip regarding Hunt's location and relayed that information to authorities in Marion County. Officers from each Department located Hunt at that residence and arrested him without incident.

All three remain incarcerated on Investigative Holds at the time of the press release and will face a number of felony charges from Marion and Boone County Arkansas. The Flippin Police Department and Marion County Sheriff's Office are appreciative of the assistance from other law enforcement agencies involved as well as that received from the citizens of Marion and Boone County.
